Re: Unable to boot after veritas installation

Shalom,

If your system is not PA-RISC (you fail to indicate hardware, OS or other vital information), you will not receive an ISL prompt. You will however be able to get an EFI prompt, followed by an HPUX> prompt.

I recommend hpux -lm or hpux -is boot and removal of the offending software.

Re: Unable to boot after veritas installation

Hi,

Never do a init 3 from single user mode, it can corrupt things.

What sort of software did you install with this "veritas installation" ?

Try to go back to single user mode. (hpux -is)

Mount all vg00 filesystems. And show us the contents of /var/adm/sw/swagent.log, about what was installed and how it got installed, with this "veritas installation" (cut&paste if necessary).

Afterwards, to exit single user mode, try to umount, #umount -a, as much as possible and type the reboot command to get the system back in "efi mode"..

Chris
