Is there a general rule of loss from raw SAN LUN size presented, and what you loose after pvcreate?

Just curious what I'll have left over on a 210gb LUN after I pvcreate/vgcreate, etc.....

The overhead of LVM is very small; it depends upon your PE size but you typically the overhead is much less than 1%. In fact, the unused space at the end of a physical volume that is not an exact multiple of the PE size can sometimes be larger than the remainder of the overhead --- especia;;y is a large PE size is chosen.
