Re: VGSCAN RESULTS IN A SIGSEGV

You don't say which version of HP-UX you are using. But the output from your "what" does not match what I have on either 10.20 or 11.00.

On 10.20 I get:
$Revision 78.57.1.3.2.44 $ MIRROR PRODUCT

I would guess that you do not have that latest lvm patch for your os. Try to install that and see if it helps.

Re: VGSCAN RESULTS IN A SIGSEGV

sorry the hpux version is 10.20

Re: VGSCAN RESULTS IN A SIGSEGV

If you install LVM-Mirror from the application-CD, you'll have a buggy version. That's why you need to re-install the re-install the latest LVM cumul patch + dependencies.

I believe that the latest LVM-patch is PHCO_18563. This will bring the Revision of the MIRROR PRODUCT to 78.57.1.3.2.70.

Re: VGSCAN RESULTS IN A SIGSEGV

Don't forget to vgscan after moving the /etc/lvmtab to re-read the VGRA on the disks and creat the new /etc/lvmtab
