VxVM 3.5 will not recognise vpath devices
Hi I have a 2-node VCS 3.5 cluster. The nodes are running HP-UX 11.11 and connected to an EMC DMX using PowerPath 5.0.1 for load-balancing & multipathing. I need to virtualise the DMX behind an IBM SVC to facilitate a migration. To do this I need to un-install PowerPath and install IBM SDD ... which I have done. IBM SDD creates the vpath pseudo devices fine but the vxdisk list reports all paths and not just the controlling device. Any advice? NOTES : I can't use VxVM DMP because the vxlibibmsvc.so library is not available for 3.5 regards Shane Russell
