VxVM and Quotas

Silly question time....
Does anyone know if Base VxVM or any of its upgrades/additional packages supports disk quotas at the directory/subdirectory level?

I know that standard VxFS quotas are only filesystem based, but I haven't been able to find anything on VxVM or its associated products.

Any help/info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 8^)

Re: VxVM and Quotas

VxVM only concerns itself with the logical volume and has no knowledge of the underlying filesystem - so the answer is no.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: VxVM and Quotas

VxVM doesn't know anything about files or filesystems. Like LVM, VGxVM simply carves up disks and logically conects them together. Quotas is a filesystem concept. There is no concept of a quota for a raw disk.
