VxVM disk private regions show up as disabled while disk is reported online
Hi,
sorry for misusing the LVM category,
because this is a Veritas Volume Manager question.
But it is yet another LVM, and even one that is shipped with HP-UX 11i.
We realized that there appear several vxvm disks that are reported as being online and enabled, as well as the plexes and volumes from the disk groups of these disks.
So everything looks pretty normal.
However when listing a detail report of these disks there show up private regions marked as disabled.
Now we wonder if this is normal behaviour (viz. a feature), or an indicator for a prevailing disk damage.
