VxVM mirror boot & stripe on Itanium

Hi, Is it possible to use the base (free) mirroring option of VxVM for the boot areas and also have some other LVs on the same 2 disks be striped? This is an Itanium system.

Yes you can use base VxVm for boot area. You can mirrore too.

I don't think you can use it for striping.

Only the root vg "rootvg" can be mirrored with the base VxVm.

I do not believe striping is supported under that scenario. I also don't think you'd want to. You want two distinct copies(at least) of the boot disk/image.
