we have done several TUSC commands, i have some huge fiiles, but i am not sure what to look for. The symantec people have been given this information, and have figured out nothing..LOL...is there anything i should look for.

You need to look at the open syscall for the file in question.  Also what are the last few I/O calls for that file before the close?  Ideally everything from that open to the close.
