evaperf sees physical disks but no virtual disks

I have been working a problem for a while now and have traced it down to the fact that evaperf shows correctly when running the evaperf.exe pd and pdg commands but nothing is there when running the vd or vdg commands.  We have an sssutility and the system we are working on is an EVA4000.  The controllers see everything as green the array status is green.
