idisk error
# idisk -f /tmp/partition.dat -w -v /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0
idisk: Unable to get describe data
Here the output of partition.dat file
# cat /tmp/partition.dat
3
EFI 500MB
HPUX 100%
HPSP 400MB

Check that partition.dat for any garbage character.
cat -v partition.dat

By defult HP-UX system c0t0d0 is CD/DVD ROM drive. BTW, can U send me "ioscan -fnC disk" output.

# idisk -wf /tmp/partition.dat /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0
make sure you use the correct device file and abswer "yes" - not only "y".

thank you very much for your support. The customer didn't realize that the device he was trying to use with idisk was a cdrom, so he was trying to partition a cdrom, I think is the first trying this :D ,so this was the problem. But I have to correct YAQUB post because, not always, on HP-UX systems the default special file for cdrom is c0t0d0 (even if is very common).
