Experts,
I need to know how can I upgrade VXFS v3 on 11.0 to v4, the premise is as follows.
I am trying to mount lvols create on 11i, VXFS v4 on to 11.0 VXFS v3 and I get the following errors.
useo0024/tmp # mount /dev/vg01/data8_pb01 /tmp/data8
mount - unrecognized vxfs version number
useo0024/tmp # fsck -F vxfs /dev/vg01/data8_pb01
invalid super-block
vxfs fsck: cannot initialize aggregate
file system check failure, aborting ...

Solution
First you will need to install the JFS 3.3 package.
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8861E
That will enable VxFS v4 on HP-UX 11.0. That should allow you to mount your v4 filesystems from 11.11.
