logical volume 100% but contains no files.

The tmp logical volume on machine is 100% full, I delete everything in it and it remains 96% and repadily fills again?

I've looked for hidden files and directories, nothing there.

Filesystem kbytes used avail %used Mounted on
/dev/vx/dsk/rootdg/tmpvol
1048576 1048576 0 100% /tmp

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Re: logical volume 100% but contains no files.

you have a process running that has had a file deleted on the fs, while it was running.
You could use glance to see what files various processes have open, or lsof, or simply shutdown and reboot should clear this up.
Just a few ideas

Re: logical volume 100% but contains no files.

1. Wait for some time.
Then check again.

2. Try fsck to resolve the problem.
