i have a LV which distribute between 4 PVs
/dev/vg01/lvol1
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d1
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d2
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d3
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d4
all 4 PVs contain data.
may i know can i run pvmove online to merge data, so that as a result i get the following:
/dev/vg01/lvol1
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d1
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d2
- /dev/dsk/c8t0d3

as long as you have enough free extends on the other disk you can move them. It can take a long time to move the data from one disk to the others, do not interrupt the pvmove.
# pvmove -n /dev/vg01/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c8t0d4 /dev/dsk/c8t0d1 /dev/dsk/c8t0d2 /dev/dsk/c8t0d3
