Thanks everyone for their replies.

Everything is working now - I had to unmount the disk array to vgcfgrestore it.

FYI -

We had the exact same problem; the online disk replacement procedures have changed with the introduction of LVM Online Disk replacement.

HP-UX 11.11: PHKL_31216/PHCO_30698
HP-UX 11.23: PHKL_32095/PHCO_31709

can you give more details,

 

how you dismount the array

 

we are facing same problem now.
