hi
during the vgextension i forget to add the alernate link. is it possible to add the alternate link online while the fs is mounted?
bcs this is a lun assigned from eva and have 8 paths.

No problem, use vgextend to add the alternate pathes.

yes Ou can,
you use:
vgextend /device_alternate_link and for checking use this command
vgdisplay -v vgxx and look to the end of output
you find some thing like that:
--- Physical volumes ---
PV Name /dev/dsk/c9t0d2
PV Name /dev/dsk/c10t0d2 Alternate Link
you use:
vgextend /device_alternate_link and for checking use this command
vgdisplay -v vgxx and look to the end of output
you find some thing like that:
