vgextend/vgimport error on 11.31

Hi All,

We have configured our server with hp-ux 11.31.We created a new VG with 2 disks.There are 2 paths configured for server.When we extended the alternate path of the VG, we got the following error

# vgextend vg001 /dev/dsk/c10t11d0 /dev/dsk/c11t11d1
Verification of unique LVM disk id on each disk in the volume group
vg001 failed.
Following are the sets of disks having identical LVM disk id
/dev/dsk/c10t11d1 /dev/dsk/c11t11d1
/dev/dsk/c11t11d0 /dev/dsk/c10t11d0

When i am checking with ioscan -m dsf, i can see only 1 path.

$ pbrun ioscan -m dsf /dev/dsk/c10t11d0
Persistent DSF Legacy DSF(s)
========================================
/dev/disk/disk29 /dev/dsk/c10t11d0
$ pbrun ioscan -m dsf /dev/dsk/c11t11d1
Persistent DSF Legacy DSF(s)
========================================
/dev/disk/disk60 /dev/dsk/c11t11d1

But both paths are present to the server.

I have tried to import this volumegroup in the alternate node of the server .vgimport also given me the same error.

I have tried this also.

# vgcreate /dev/vg001 /dev/disk/disk71 /dev/disk/disk41
Verification of unique LVM disk id on each disk in the volume group
/dev/vg001 failed.
Following are the sets of disks having identical LVM disk id
/dev/disk/disk71 /dev/disk/disk41


# vgcreate /dev/vg001 /dev/disk/disk71
Increased the number of physical extents per physical volume to 7864.
Volume group "/dev/vg001" has been successfully created.
Volume Group configuration for /dev/vg001 has been saved in /etc/lvmconf/vg001.conf
# vgextend /dev/vg001 /dev/disk/disk41
Verification of unique LVM disk id on each disk in the volume group
/dev/vg001 failed.
Following are the sets of disks having identical LVM disk id
/dev/disk/disk71 /dev/disk/disk41

what sort of storage are these LUNs on? Some EMC arrays can appear to show different paths to the same LUN as 2 different LUNs on 11.31 if the arrays isn't configured correctly for 11.31
