vxfs mounts from a EMC BCV
cannot open device /dev/nvg01/lv06
file system check failure, aborting ...
/dev/nvg01/lv06: unrecognized file system
I have 5 other lvols in the VG and they all work fine. I get not errors on the symmir or the split.
I thought that perhaps it was due to the lvol on the other side was currupt, but I can umount it and fsck it and get no errors.
Both systems are 11.00 and are up to date on patches.

Re: vxfs mounts from a EMC BCV
You don't possible happen to have
'lvm.11' and friends somewhere below /usr?
I'd definitely call in HP to analyze the LV, we also run BCV backups and this error hasn't come up (and I hope it won't).

Re: vxfs mounts from a EMC BCV
Ask HP on it, probably they'll want to run it themselves, and that's just fine given the number of parameters it has.
(I just don't want to be much more verbose, because everytime a post of mine is deleted I'm really, really angry for some time)
