Hello - I am struggling with a problem related to running Eclipse on HP UX 11.11 (with upgrades possible). First off, I know zero about UNIX. I'm a Rational Administrator. We have a user who is running a client machine with HP UX 11.11. Rational tells me that one can run their CCRC client as a plug-in (they have the plug-in available) through the Eclipse package. So, I gather there is an Eclipse client/package that runs on HP UX? I think of Eclipse as Windows GUI not UNIX (which I think of as command-line), but what do I know?
Anyway, is this possible? Is there an Eclipse for HP UX 11.11 (or newer)? If so, how would I get it? Then, I presume I can knudge our UNIX guy to install the CCRC plug-in and this remote user then can access the ClearCase VOBs using this version of CCRC.
Well, that's the plan, anyway. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Shalom,
http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.4.1-200809111700/hpuxPlatform.php
There is a project to run Eclipse on HP-UX.
You will need to read the link to see if it supports 11.11, PA-RISC, IA-64 Itanium or both.
I can't guarantee what features are available, you will need to read for that.
I used to administer clearcase on HP-UX and there is full support for 11.11, and PA-RISC. I can't recall the support for Itanium, but if you are talking about 11.11 you don't care, it only runs on PA-RISC systems.

Re: HP UX 11.11 (and up) and Rational CCRC under Eclipse
Steven,
Thanks for your reply. I will look up the link you provided. As a CC Administrator, you will appreciate the problem. The UNIX user is not local and thus we need either Multisite ($$$) or CCRC (free). The problem is that I have never run CCRC on any flavor of UNIX much less HP UX 11.11.
I appreciate the info!
Regards,
Chuck

Re: HP UX 11.11 (and up) and Rational CCRC under Eclipse
Hi,
Coincidentally I installed Eclipse (eclipse-SDK-3.5.2-win32 +
cdt-master-6.0.2) on Windows Vista to configure "HP C/C++
Remote Developer Plug-in 3.0.0". After configuring the network
drive with HP CIFS Server as default installed product, I can
access the source code on HP-UX 11.31 and build it.
It's worth while to try it out on your environment.

Hope this help you !!
