Need to cycle passwords

We have a requirement to have the users change their Unix password on an regular schedule, but they can not use their last 4 passwords. Is there any way to track this or setting up some security file within Unix so the user can not use previous passwords (up to 4 in the past). We are running HPUX11.00

man 4 security. You can define password history dpth in /etc/default/security file.

The password history feature only works for systems that have been converted to Trusted systems (/etc/tcb...)
