Restoring default gcc in HP-UX B.11.23 U ia64 architecture machine

Hi, I am working on HP-UX 11.23 and had default gcc installed in it in /usr/local/bin/gcc . But accidentally the gcc got uninstalled . And after that I installed HP-UX gcc 4.7.1 , but it seems that is not working for my code compilation. And the new gcc is installed in /opt/ folder and when i do soft link of this also it doesnt work as expected. Please let me know how do i restore the old gcc. Regards, Lohith

There is no default gcc on HP-UX, you must have installed it in the past.

Do you have a backup so at least you know what the version is?

Visit the HP-UX Porting & Archiving Centre, you could install, or re-install, the GCC software (http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gnu/gcc-4.2.3/).
