Supporting 11.3

Our current database application runs on 11.23 and we're looking at supporting 11.3. Is there any documentation or white papers regarding any changes, if any that need to be made before running on 11.3?

Thanks,
JJD

Re: Supporting 11.3

I guess I should have added that this application is written in C++ and Java. It also supports multiple database systems, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc.

Re: Supporting 11.3

Hi John:

As with any new release, begin here:

http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-1996/index.html

and:

http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-0689/index.html

...and then examine the various documents in:

http://docs.hp.com/en/oshpux11iv3.html

One very big area of change is in LVM's "agile" device nomenclature:

Hi (again) JOhn:

I just noted that you posted this in the Languages family and subsequently noted that the question relates specifically to languages. The links on this page may help you too:

Re: Supporting 11.3

As far as languages are concerned, the compilers are the same. Only the architectures (PA vs IPF) is different.

You may need to look elsewhere for these answers. Some of JRF's links.
