dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: initialize_error_table_r (code) from /usr/local/lib/libkrb5.sl
>was wondering if anything else I can start looking at for this issue?
>error in subject line and then proceeds to core dump.
Basically this error means that there is a missing function in the above shlib. Either it wants to call a symbol in the executable or some other load module.
I assume at one time it worked and if it failing now, then the versions of the executable and shlibs aren't consistent.
I.e. libkrb5.sl is newer and doesn't match the rest of the shlibs.
Or you have multiple versions of shlibs and you need to make sure SHLIB_PATH points to the right one.

Re: /usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: initialize_error_table_r (code) from /usr/local/lib/libkrb5.
By the way this paticular issue happened during a telnet if that helps. I am not sure if this is isolated or if happening with other type lib usage. but assume so since your response.
Thanks again

What file? What's the content of the SHLIB_PATH variable?
>can you recommend next step(s)
What is the version of the software that supplies libkrb5?
What is the name and version of the executable that gets that error?
>By the way this particular issue happened during a telnet if that helps
Only if there is another way that works.

You might want to try to see which fileset has that shlib:
swlist -l file KRB-Support KRB5-Client PHSS_36286 | fgrep libkrb5
>I just came across this info in syslog. Not sure if it helps?
>Aug 18 08:53:12 remedy squid[1521]: comm_accept: FD 14: (233) No buffer space available
It seems to be a different problem.

Re: /usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: initialize_error_table_r (code) from /usr/local/lib/libkrb5.
here are the filesets you had suggested to get:
PHSS_36286.KRB5-64SLIB: /opt/krb5core/lib/pa20_64/libkrb5.1
PHSS_36286.KRB5-ENG-A-MAN: /opt/krb5core/share/man/man3.Z/libkrb5.sl.3
PHSS_36286.KRB5-ENG-A-MAN: /opt/krb5core/share/man/man3.Z/libkrb5.3
PHSS_36286.KRB5-JPN-E-MAN: /opt/krb5core/share/man/ja_JP.eucJP/man3.Z/libkrb5.sl.3
PHSS_36286.KRB5-JPN-E-MAN: /opt/krb5core/share/man/ja_JP.eucJP/man3.Z/libkrb5.3
PHSS_36286.KRB5-JPN-S-MAN: /opt/krb5core/share/man/ja_JP.SJIS/man3.Z/libkrb5.sl.3
PHSS_36286.KRB5-JPN-S-MAN: /opt/krb5core/share/man/ja_JP.SJIS/man3.Z/libkrb5.3
PHSS_36286.KRB5-SHLIB: /opt/krb5core/lib/libkrb5.1
hmmm?
Thank You again for the help.

Solution>PHSS_36286.KRB5-SHLIB: /opt/krb5core/lib/libkrb5.1
It looks like you should point SHLIB_PATH to there:
export SHLIB_PATH=/opt/krb5core/lib:$SHLIB_PATH
If libkrb5.sl doesn't exist there, you should create it:
ln -s libkrb5.1 /opt/krb5core/lib/libkrb5.sl
