I'm trying to setup graphing on several 3COM bridges and I have one older bridge, part # 3crweasy96a, that does not have any SNMP options in it's configurations. Right now I'm running firmware Release 1.404#0 (Jan 15 2003). I see on the 3com site that they do have a slightly new firmware (Version 1.43 from Aug-29-2003 see below link) but I don't see any information on whether or not it enables SNMP.
Does anyone know if I can get SNMP turned on for this bridge so that I can graph it?

SolutionI found the solution to the problem while messing around with these units. They have no place to configure SNMP communities, but they are configured for public. If you walk the device using public as your RO community it will allow you to request information from the device.
