HP Procurve AP420 J8130B
I have inherited a shop with about 50 420 APs. Some are J8130As and some J8130Bs. I have run across several of the Bs that when reset to factory, the radio goes off and I cannot locate anything to turn it back on. The As require the Country to be set before turning on the radio. I can do both of those. However, the Bs have the Country Code preset to NA for North America and I see no place to turn on or off the radios. Can anyone offer any advice or help on this?

Re: HP Procurve AP420 J8130B
Hello,
The way to configure the APs is somehow different not regarding A or B version but regarding to the firmware version.
First of all, you have to connect to the AP through Telnet and key in the command "country XX" where XX are reprensenting the country. Reboot is needed.
After that, if running the firmware version 2.2.5, you have to go to (through web interface) "Port/Radio Settings", and uncheck the box : "Radio Interface : Shutdown".
Hope it will help you,
Regards,
