HPASMCLI trigger swap to max out

Hi,
I'm running an apache web server 2.2.11 on CentOS 4.5 on a DL380. Ordinarily the servers run at 95-97% memory usage and <1% swap quite happily.

However, occasionly (every few weeks) swap will progressively increase over 1.5 hours to a point that the out of memory (OOM) killer process kicks in and starts taking down processes bringing the server to a grinding halt.

It appears that the only consistent factor is this issue starts when a cron script is executed to run a number of hpasmcli commands to collect system information. The script however runs every night, but doesnt always trigger the issue.

We run two web servers on the same build. Only one has had the issue so far.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues or have any advice.

Many thanks

Jason

Hi,

What version of the hpasmcli do you have?
