3CRWER100-75 WDS questions
Hi,
I have 2 Routers of the above and would like to set-up a WDS between them to be able to extend my wireless network for the entire house.
What I did so far is:
1.Set-up both routers with static ip, router A is connected to the internet (L2TP).
2.I've disabled the encryption on both routers so no WEP/WPA is configured.
3.On the WDS config page I used router A as "ROOT-AP", router B is "AP-STA" and showing "connected" status to router A.
Now to the question - if I'm trying to connect with my laptop through router B (wireless connection) how my client suppose to get an IP address?
Should I configure DHCP scope for each router?
*** Remark - if I'm configuring my client with static ip and put router A as the default gateway it works of course but I don't think it should work like that.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advanced.
Avi.

Re: 3CRWER100-75 WDS questions
You need to enable the DHCP server on the Rooter A and the Router B will pass the requests through to your WI-FI card.
You can not have 2 DHCP servers, hence the one on the Router B is best disabled.
Hope this helps
