802.11r support for MSM controllers and AP's?
I am trying to determine whether procurve wireless products support 802.11r for fast roaming between AP's. My installation would require this for voice and video traffic over UDP. I see it support spectralink but the only reference I can find to 802.11r is in this design document http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02566499/c02566499.pdf
I can't find configuration, or a definite answer in any of the manuals for the msm430/msm460/msm466 or the controller manuals such as the msm710 mobility version.
Does anyone have know the answer, and if so how to configure it?
Thanks,

Re: 802.11r support for MSM controllers and AP's?
Bump, the issue is with clients using ipads and iphones with facetime. Every time a client switches AP's their connection is dropped. Apple supports 802.11r in the 4th gen iPad, and since the iPhone 4s. http://images.apple.com/iphone/business/docs/iOS_6_Wifi_Sept12.pdf
Are there any other vendors besides Cisco that support 802.11r, 02.11k?
Thanks

Re: 802.11r support for MSM controllers and AP's?
Hi David
MSM doesn't currently support 802.11r as such. But I haven't heard this causing any specific problems with Apple devices.
When using iOS 6 devices please ensure they're updated. I believe current iOS version is 6.0.2, and it contains multiple fixes for wireless performance.
