Can't connect higher than 54Mb on MSM430 - what am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I'm new to HP access points. I've been using Cisco access points for 10 years but it was time to upgrade. I purchased one MSM430 as a test unit to see if it will work out. I have configured the radios for 802.11n/a and 802.11n/b/g

I can't seem to connect with my Elitebook laptop higher than 54Mb. Is there a setting on the access point that needs to be changed or is it on the computer. I was kind of hoping this would be pretty automatic, so I'm hoping something can be changed on the access point iteself. Do I need to set one of nthe radios to "Allow 802.11n clients only"?

I am running the latest firmware: 5.7.2.0-12736

The MSM430 is running standalone, not with a controller? Look in AP for details about the connected clients, transmit receive speeds, etc just to see what the AP thinks is going on. And try with another client too. You really want to be connecting at 5GHz N only - so the allow N only clients setting for radio 1 (5GHz) at least is a good idea.
