Controlled E-MSM430 with static IP?
Hello...
I am configuring eight (8) E-MSM430 access points to be controlled by a MSM-710 controller. At first the controller did not recognize the access points. I upgraded the controllers firmware to 5.5.2 and all seems good.
The problem is that I cannot seem to configure the access points with a static IP. They remain using the original DHCP IP received.
Can a controlled E-MSM430 access point have a static IP? If so, how to configure?
Thanks,
MCA

Re: Controlled E-MSM430 with static IP?
Sure.. in the Provision tab you configure the static IP, also you have to manually configure the IP of the controller.
After you've configured the static IP on the AP you have to power cycle it for the configuration to take effect (this isnt really good documented).

Re: Controlled E-MSM430 with static IP?
Hmm... I have tried everything. I can only get the static IP to keep if I assign the AP to a VLAN. Is a VLAN a requirement?
