HP MSM 760 : licence and restoration

Hi,

I install a temporary HP MSM760 wireless controller and it will be replace in few weeks. This controller will manage 70 access points. I need to install an upgrade licence of 40 access points.

When I will replace the HP MSM760 controller :

- Can I reinstall the upgrade licence on the new controller ?

- Can I backup the configuration of the temporary controller and restore it on the new one ? What about the licence ?

you can backup and restore the configuration file if you are using the same controller model without issues. The license however is specific to the controller, you will need to get a new one for the new controller. Maybe contact support and explain your situation.

It's not necessary to purchase a new license for new controller. Contacting support is necessary, though - we can transfer the license to the new controller.
