HP MSM310 AP & Guest SSID

HP MSM310 AP & Guest SSID

I have a MSM310 AP and want to configure 2 SSID. Guest & Corporate. We do not have any Wireless Controller. Can I create this with out using Vlan's? Can I use filters? For example below:

Guest SSID:

Inbound filter: (port 67) or (port 53) or arp or ether dst %g or (icmp and not dst net 10.10.10) or ether proto 0x888E

Outbound filter: (port 68) or (port 53) or arp or ether src %g or (icmp and not src net 10.10.10) or ether proto 0x888E

This was passed to me by a friend, but havent tried yet.

Thanks

Re: HP MSM310 AP & Guest SSID

If your network is a simple single vlan with a default gateway, you can set up a VSC on the MSM310 and allow only traffic to the default gateway. This does still allow a client to use DHCP regardless of what host supplies it.

Of course, if your network has multiple vlans, this won't work because the default gateway will simply route the traffic onto other vlans.

The network has only 1 vlan. Will the VSC posted work?
