MSM 720 DHCP / clients appending local domain to DNS queries

Hi

 

We're having a problem with a new MSM720 (software version 5.7.1.1-12533).

 

When it's used as the DHCP server, clients on the wireless networks append the local domain to each DNS query, i.e. searching for/browsing to www.google.com, the client will look for www.google.com.abc.local.

 

Has anyone seen this issue, or could point me in the right direction?  I've opened a support case, but in the meantime thought I'd check here.
