MSM 750/760 can I create a public network without a captive portal?
Hello Everyone,
I just acquired an MSM 750 and I'm getting things all figured out. One thing that I keep missing is how to create a public wifi network without the captive portal pop up.
I don't want users to have to see the pop up at all. I'd like them to just put in the wpa password and have connectivity.
Is this possible? I'd like to use the MSM 750 for a tech conference I'm planning and those silly captive portals do nothing but get in the way.
Thanks

Hi
Yes, you should be able to create a simple VSC profile without HTML authenticaiton selection unde the VSC profile. Select the authenticaiton/access controlled option along with WPA password on the VSC profile page. Also make sure you select "Always tunnel traffic" feature on the VSC profile page.
This should get you the public access network without captive portal where traffic is tunnel to the controller from the AP.
