MSM710 and computer account authentication

Hi,

I am having some troubles to setup a wireless network with a MSM710 and two AP's. I am able to setup the network so that users can log in on the wireless network after they logged on to the laptop, but that is not what I want.

I want that the wireless access is granted using computer account and not by using a user account. How can I achieve this? Is this even possible with the MSM710?

The problem with using user credentials is that the user has to logon to the domain when the laptop is physically connected to the network, so his credentials get cached on the laptop and then eventually he can logon to the laptop using the wireless connection. I want every user to be able to logon laptops without first having to connect the laptop physically to the network.

I already configured a Windows 2008 R2 CA, RADIUS (NPS) server and the MSM710 to use this RADIUS server. I also configured auto enrollment of user and computer certificates, but the wireless connection keeps on complaining that it is unable to find a certificate to log on to the wireless network. I also tried several authentication methods (PEAP/EAP MSCHAPv2, Smartcard or Other certificate).

I am at a complete loss here, and the documentation of HP lacks to much vital information. Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: MSM710 and computer account authentication

We actually just (March 2011) got this working, using the documentation at:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualāŒ©=en&cc=us&docIndexId=64179&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12883&prodSeriesId=3963981

The document which proofed to be most useful is/was:
* MultiService Mobility (MSM) Implementation Guide v5.4.0
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/CoreRedirect.jsp?redirectReason=DocIndexPDF&prodSeriesId=3963981&targetPage=http%3A%2F%2Fbizsupport1.austin.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Fc02682324%2Fc02682324.pdf

This document contains several implementation scenarios with detailed step-by-steps how to configure (for instance and not limited to):
* a Windows 2003 radius server
* a Windows 2008 NPS server
* a Windows 200x Certificate Authority.
* Certificate enrollment

(If I had only found this documentation a year earlier...)
