MSM710 controller & MSM E-430 AP different subnet
Hi,
Given the following scenario:
Site1:
MSM710 controller
E-MSM430 AP
controller is connected to a router
controller resides on 10.0.24.X
Site 2:
E-MSM430 AP
Router
AP needs to provide addresses (via dhcp server located at site 1) the range 10.0.14.X (different subnet than the controller's)
When I'm trying to enable the dhcp server ON THE CONTROLLER (site 1) the AP fails/crashes at site 2 and in the case of static IP , AP at site 2 provides addresses at the range of 10.0.24.X.
If anyone experienced something similar, it would be very helpful to provide me with some suggestions or guidance.
P.S. If more info needed feel free to ask for it!
Thanks

Re: MSM710 controller & MSM E-430 AP different subnet
Where is the access point receiving its IP address from?
If you are serving addresses in the 10.0.14.* range to clients at the remote end then this is the address that wireless clients should receive - just check that the VSC is set up for authentication only and not access control
