MSM760 P1:none

Hello, New to the world of MSM's.  I manage an MSM760 with 72 WAPs, spread out over 15 subnets.  Some WAPs get lost, so I was working in the setup of the controller.  Under the setup page for the configuration of the controller’s IP I selected none.  It had been setup for Static, and now I cannot connect back with controller.  Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: MSM760 P1:none

If you are without access to the controller I recommend to access the console port. You have such access? What the Controller port has been set the static IP?

Re: MSM760 P1:none

Hi.

Couldn’t you just put a computer at the inside of the net at connect that thru that way? It should be possible to do so. If P1 is the only port you have removed the IP address from. P2 should still have an address. Connect to same VLAN whit a cable on your computer. IF DHCP is enabled for that net, you will get an IP. Otherwise, you know what address to give your computer.

Kind Regards.
