VPN woes with 3CRWDR300B-73 adsl firewall router
Hi all,
I'm having issues connecting to the router via L2TP from MacOSX 10.5.6. PPTP works fine, but I'm looking for an encrypted connection.
I have enabled the L2TP (over IPSec; haven't enabled the IPSec VPN) and configured a new connection, as mentioned in the help documentation. However, my client says 1) l2tp connecting to server XXX, 2) IPSec connection started, 3) IPSec connection failed.
What steps should I follow to troubleshoot the connection?
Thanks for any suggestion, JAN

Re: VPN woes with 3CRWDR300B-73 adsl firewall router
Hello Jan,
you should call 3com support they will help you with that. As depending on your OS you might not have L2TP over IPSEC available by default but simple L2TP. The L2TP key on both side need to match.
So there are quite a few things to check.
Call them they will help you

Re: VPN woes with 3CRWDR300B-73 adsl firewall router
Hi I'm having problems also with this kind of connection in my 3com router 3CRWER300-73. I need to implemnt a VPN with the protocol L2tp / Ipsec.
I followed all the steps that comes in the help documetation but I can not connet.
My client uses WIN XP OS so I need this configuration also with the protocols L@TP / IPSEC.
If you found the answer please help me.
Thanks
