ACS Upgrade from 8.5F to 8.8F

ACS Upgrade from 8.5F to 8.8F

I have acustomer who wants to put 146 GB drives in as a new RAIDSET. However I understand that we need to go version 8.7 or above of the ACS. I worried because all of the docuemnts talk about upgrading from ACS 8.6 to 8.8 but from ACS 8.5

Can anyone tell me, if this is OK to do and pit falls that I may come up against
