Backup EVA
Hi,
We have a EVA 6100 that has a one faulty controller that is due to be replaced by an HP sent Engineer. The problem is before they dispatch the engineer they want us to "backup the eva". We are using an msl6000 with 3 lto3 drives to do backups, we backup certain folders from the servers, backup software is Symantec Netbackup.
I understand that changing the faulty controller should go smoothly and backups shouldnt be required but would like to cover my back just in case.
Now how do i backup the whole eva to tapes??? Its only about 24Tb.
Any suggestions/ideas/direction would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Lee.

Re: Backup EVA
Each server must backup the own data from the EVA there is no way to backup the whole array in a single step.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
