Best practice for to strip my VDISKS on MSA2012FC
My Question is about best practices Pros and Cons, We have a MSA2012fc G1 with a total of 3 cabinets 10 -146 GB drives per cabinet. I have been told to create my VDISKS using a vertical strip across all three cabinets 9 drives per VDISK and 1 hot spare V/S creating a VDISK per cabinet. I can understand better through put going vertical but my big concern would be if you strip vertical and you lost one cabinet would this corrupt all of your VDISKs and potentially lose of al data? Are there any good best practices documents on this?
If you create your VDISKS per cabinet what’s the best practice for performance?
