Boot on SAN MSA 1000

Does MSA1000 support boot on SAN with Tru64 UNIX?
Any links or docs regarding Boot on SAN for MSA1000 & Tru64?

Goran

Re: Boot on SAN MSA 1000

Hello Goran,
you can indeed boot Tru64 Unix from an MSA1000 and this is supported (a colleague and me have set up such a system some time ago and we didn't hear back from the customer, so I can assume it is still working). See:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11621_div/11621_div.html

I recommend that you still prepare a locally attached SCSI disk for initial setup and diagnostic purposes.

Documentation for the MSA1000 is here:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/msa1000/documentation.html

You just assign an identifier to the unit on the MSA and on the AlphaServer console you enter:
>>> wwidmgr -quickset ...

just like you do it with the HSG and HSV controllers.
