Hi!
I have EVA44K connected to HP-UX servers running with RAID6 redundancy. Can I change RAID 6 to RAID 5 and RAID 1 without interrupting the system?
1. can I change it?
2. Does it require any downtime?
3. will it cause any loss or curruption of data?
4. How can I do it?
Thanks

Re: Can I change RAID6 to RAID5 on EVA44K
Can I just migrate Virtual disk by selecting that particular virtual disk and change the redundancy of the RAID to achieve it?
Thanks

SolutionHi!
I found the solution. To change the RAID, do the following:
1. Login to command View EVA
2. Highlight the Virtual Disk that you want to change
3. Click on Migrate tab
4. click on the next migrate tab
5. Select the RAID# that you want to change to
6. Select one of the option in "Keep source Disk". Select YES or NO
Yes -will create a copy with the new RAID level
NO - Will change the RAID on original disk without creating a copy
Thanks
