Cisco MDS9216i SAN Switch Trap Test

I require to test the Trap mechanism on this switch. From the command line I issue the command
test pfm test-SNMP-trap
The system responds with
Test Trap TEMP SNMP errno = 9
Does anyone know what this message means ?.
According to manual the command should be
test pfm test-SNMP-trap fan but this (fan) parameter gives syntax errors.
