Re: DL380 & P2000 G3 MSA SAS

Hello Torsten,

I am encountering a similar issue.  I have a ProLiant DL380p G8 with eight on board drives which I have configured via the SSA.
The Server has two PCI H221 HBA where I attached two MSA 60 and one MSA 20 storage trays.
It is my intent to use the Server as a host for our virtual machine environment and am in the process  of configuring and installing VMWare.
Using SSA it does not "see" the two HP 221 HBA - according to this post the storage needs to be configured via the MSA SMU? How do I access this???  I have searched online and am unable to find an answer.
Thanks so much!

Torsten.

Yes, connect to the management ethernet port of the controllers, point your browser to the array IP and you get access to SMU.

Default is to use DHCP.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
