Hello,
Please explain the differences between two identical controllers:
- BK829A HP MSA P2000 four ports 1Gb iSCSI Controller
- BK829B HP MSA P2000 four ports 1Gb iSCSI Controller
Is it possible to use them in pairs in one chassis?
We tried to install B instead of the failed A (the second A was installed the same chassis), but we did not succeed. Because the controller did not fit into the chassis ...
Maybe we did something wrong, but it seemed that B really was not suitable for this chassis.
Explain, please.

SolutionBoth looks same only.

https://partsurfer.hpe.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=BK829B
https://partsurfer.hpe.com/ShowPhoto.aspx?partnumber=629074-002
We can see BK829B is functional equivalent(FE) part of BK829A so it shouldn't be problem to use BK829B
Hope this helps!

Re: Differences between BK829A / BK829B
Thanks. Engineers of the data center still installed a new controller. Before that, something was wrong and the new controller BK829B did not fit. Then the firmware was updated on the old controller BK829A from new BK829B. Storage was not available at this monent. Now everything is working well.
