Disk Firmware Upgrade Advisory Question

Recently an advisory came out regarding disk firmware upgrade which was labeld critical.

The advisory specifies problems with U320 drives. it does not specify that this is a critical problem if they are connected to a MSA array controller.

The problem seems to be within the drive and therefore would apply to all controllers associated with the drives.

We have a large number of these drives attached to MSA controllers (1000 and 1500cs).

is the firmware update critical for our configuration?
