We have an EVA HSV300 and I would like to create a volume & present this to a Server 2008 R2 box server using the standard Windows iSCSI Initiator.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

SolutionSince the EVA has no ethernet port for data transfer you need "something between", e.g. a multi protocol router or something like VSA software.
and appropriate server hardware.
This would mean an extra server to provide access to your existing server.
Consider to just plug in an FC card into your server ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA HSV300 and iSCSI
Since you need new hardware anyway, have a look at MSA2040 or MSA1040 or even a small 3PAR 7200. If you are sure you need it for a single server only, consider a disk chassis like D2700 or D3700, depending on your server.
