connecting to blade c7000 brocade fabric switches
some servers are hanging while loading windows.
Blade servers are using Emulex and others using Qlogic FC1242SR LPe1105

Re: EVA4100

Check that you have the latest firmware on your FC adaptors, EVA controllers and the SAN switches. Also you should check for incompatibilities with the firmware versions.

Have you contact your local HP support number and logged a case?

Re: EVA4100

Are you booting from SAN?
Make sure you are using the latest and correct MPIO multipath drivers.
Also If this is during the install process of Windows and boot from SAN, you must zone out all but one path to the blades as the Windows â DOSâ install portion can not handle multiple paths to the EVA.

Re: EVA4100

You'll also want to hard set your switch speeds to match the EVA controllers (4Gb). Make sure you are using zones with only one server in each zone. There should be a zone for each host with the eva ports.

Make sure you are using the HP supplied firmware and drivers for the HBA's.
