There is a much newer Storport-Hotfix, see KB950448. I don't know whether this could fix your problem (because according to the description it fixes something else), but you could give it a try.

I updated driver & firmware from emulex site, removed all hp sowtwares (insight manager ...), install ms fix KB943295
and now wait for...
