FW synchronization algorithm when replacing P2000 MSA G3 controller

Google Translated

The SMU reference guide for the G4 / G5 generation MSA states that if a maintenance part controller is replaced, the FW will be synchronized from the original controller to the replacement part. Could not be located. I want to check if the same FW synchronization algorithm works for G3 MSA.

Re: FW synchronization algorithm when replacing P2000 MSA G3 controller

Hi,

go to the CLI and enter:

show advanced-settings

Look for

Partner Firmware Upgrade

The command is:

set advanced-settings partner-firmware-upgrade enabled|disabled|on|off

Re: FW synchronization algorithm when replacing P2000 MSA G3 controller

For the P2000 (MSA2000 G3) the controller with the newer firmware clones to the controller with the older firmware.

This is different to G4 and G5 (see above).

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
